It doesn't seem like the idea is taken, but that's a pretty big flash. Not particularly because of your skills, but because of the nature of the control. That's going to be hard to get away with in a live performance.

I'm not at home to try it out myself, but from what I can see, I don't think that will help much. Try it in front of a mirror. That's the best way to know.
