Default Does heat do anything bad to cards?

I live in Australia so hot days (particually in the summer) are not rare.
I have noticed that if I leave cards out of ther box for a few hours on a hot day they go all kind of umm.. clicky. You can click them into 2 postitions one when the cards are bent the normal way an the other they are bending outwards instead of inwards. This is a little anyyoing because when I search through the deck face up it clicks and if I have the cards face down and I push down on them they click.

Does anyone know why this happens and is this bad for the playing cards?

Also I have been camping for the past few days and I left my cards in the tent one day and when I came back they where very hot.
So another question:

Does heat do anything bad to cards?
