Allround Magic Contest! (Closed)
 

Participating
Copy-paste your video link in the 'Video URL' field and press 'Submit'. You may submit as many videos as you would like to.

Rules
-No exposure allowed.
-Every kind of magic is allowed (including but not limited to card tricks).
-Both clean and gimmicked effects are allowed.
-Video(s) must be hosted on a public video sharing website (e.g. YouTube, Vimeo, MegaVideo), on an account you have access to.
-Video(s) must be uploaded and submitted between the 22nd of February 2010 and the 3rd of May 2010, 12 PM EST.
-Preferably one effect or routine which is recorded in one single shot of under 8 minutes.

Judging
All of the videos will be judged by at least three DarkSleightZ employees.

Prizes (if less than 25 contestants)
1st place: 6 decks of Tally-Ho playing cards

Prizes (if more than 25 contestants)
1st place: 12 decks of Tally-Ho playing cards
2nd place: 8 Tally-Ho decks
3rd place: 4 Tally-Ho decks

Are the results here yet?

Sadly, we have only had three submissions so far. Like the policies say, the contest will be moved for another week as long as there are less than ten people taking part.

We probably won't make it the 22nd of March either but we'll see. Someday there must be enough contestants to start the judging process.

Be sure you don't privatize your submission(s). We just received another one but we aren't able to watch it, which means we unfortunately can't count it in.

As soon as there are enough contestants, which is probably soon.

How do you confirm that your video has been submitted?

When you submit anything, it will tell you if your submission has been send or if there was an error. If you didn't get the error, then that is the confirmation you are looking for.

When you submitted an invalid video or link, we will send you a message personally. If you don't hear anything from us, it's all fine.

can we end the contest??

We actually cannot do that right now. Unlike most online contests like most ones on YouTube, we actually follow the international laws for internet contests which state that we have to follow the actual rules we put up.

However, we have decided to stop the contest as soon as possible, which will be the 3rd of May. And by then we may finally have enough contestans anyways.

Hope you understand. We know the possible consequences of not following these rules, and the fact that it's a relatively small prize doesn't make much difference in that case. Sorry for the inconvenience.
