My Personal Solution to Warped Decks

Yesterday I got my brick of Bicycle New Fan Back in the mail. One little problem I had was 2 of the decks I opened were warped. I used the 2 most common ways 1. Card Clip 2. Fridge, but neither one actually worked, it made it a tiny bit better but the cards were still warped pretty badly. So after I did the fridge method again (Didn't work) I decided just to deal with it, so after messing around with the one of the decks it started to unwarp. I tried it with my second deck and it worked too. So if you can't fix your warped decks just try doing some Le'Paul Spreads, Pressure Fans, Springs, anything that requires bowing of the cards, do it for about 10-15 min and see if it is still warped. If it is still warped try combining the fridge method with this. -Scotty

Hehe, using the cards really is the only reliable way of unwarping them. I've never used a card clip (I guess that when you keep the cards tight for about half a week, they should get straight) and I haven't put a deck of cards in the fridge either if it wasn't for making a special trick deck.

I know that when being in a hot and humid place, keeping the decks cool would be a good idea. However, this is actually to prevent the deck from warping any further due to these conditions, rather than having the cards straight out. As it usually is a manufacturing thingy, putting the cards in a cool place would keep them just the way they are.

I find that if you turn half of the cards so they face the other direction, and then do lots of faros, springs, riffle shuffles and so on it works really well, as opposed to just having them face one direction.

You can also faro them in face-up face-down and put them in its box then in a porper clip.

When the cards are bent, and they make that annoying popping sound. :mad:

Humidity, heat and general extreme changes in tempreature can cause this to happen to the cards.
