Wow this is actually very in-depth for an exposure video. The f***e is wonderful and I think it will take me a bit of practice. The thing is it really does look incredibly open! "No cheatin' ere guvna!". It's gotta be a must-have for any serious card-head, especially those of us who want to fool those friends/magicians who think they already know all our secrets. Muahaha!

The pocket and p*l* tree work here is some serious shiznit! Mark has performed card-to-pocket for me several times in a row live and fooled me again and again. He knows what he's talking about when he teaches it. And the best thing is, everything that's taught here can be applied to so many other routines and tricks. :p

If this really is what i think it is, it's a damn good control to the top from the pocket as well... very nice for a transpo don't you think?

Mark

Uhhmm.. don't tell me you missed the transpo in the performance? ;)

I wouldn't necessarily call it "damn good" because the routine is pretty advanced, apart from when the card is being selected. If you'd be comfortable with everything going on, I suppose it may be "damn good for you". ^_^

wait... i thought you had a card in there in the first place... so the 2H actually came from the deck when you had the card selected? i'm a bit more amazed now...

Yesh, no setup whatsoever. You can see it if you watch closely. ^_^

Can the deck be examined by the spectators if they want to? Something tells me it can't. Or am I wrong?

Read the specifications. Clean + Impromptu = Examinable. ;)

@Mark: i see... it really didn't need any sort of set up... tho you're the only one i know who could actually pull it off that quickly and naturally...

How is it impromptu if it requires a different coloured card?

How is it impromptu if it requires a different coloured card?
1) Because I always carry a different card with me;
2) Because if you have a different card or deck you can do it anytime (I strongly suggest everyone to take at least two different decks with them, always);
3) Because you don't need a setup, the different card doesn't have to start off in your pocket, it could really start off anywhere and so could every other card;
4) Because if you see the term 'impromptu' as "everywhere and anytime", there is no such thing as an impromptu trick apart from body tricks that require absolutely nothing else, and I don't agree with that. It is impromptu as long as you can do it everywhere at anytime if you have the required, normal (clean/ungimmicked) props to begin with.. and of course it still isn't really "everywhere" and "at anytime" then.

The literal meaning of impromptu is like this: "when asked".
(you know the word "prompt", right?)
so if somebody asks you to do a trick, impromptu tricks are the tricks you can show :)

Yeah that's what I think. It means a performance on the spot - so yeah, if you have your stuff with you and someone asks to see something at that moment then it is surely impromptu.
