Hey guys, as my first magic video on YouTube I decided to go with Mark's 'Dyed'. I really like this trick and it was the first video of Mark's that I had ever seen, and I think its a really visual effect! Check it out, also if you guys have any criticism, it would be GREATLY appreciated! Especially from Mark if he has time, since it is his effect! I hope you enjoy it, and many more videos are to come, so don't forget to subscribe! <3

THIS IS THE RE UPLOAD

tho it didn't really caught my attention the first time i saw it, when you riffled the cards the ghost back was very clearly shown, try Mark's way of riffling, use a gimmicked card before the force card( can't say which, i can think of 2 kinds of them, but i can't say)

Ah crap didn't notice that, I'll have to do another upload then. =( I did it that way a bit more because before when I did it Mark's way, I think I was just holing the cards a bit too close to the camera, and it was easy to tell that it was infact the ghost deck, but I'll reshoot it from a greater distance so its much harder to tell. Good catch, reupload coming soon!

Yeeaaah, that won't work. The code is [ m ] youtube.video.link [ /m ] without the spaces.

Anyways, pretty nice job. However, I got a challenge for you. Try to use just 1 card with the deck (I guess you know what I mean ;) ). Oh, and please.. no gimmicks. Don't listen to la0o9. :p But yeah, only then it would be truly 'Dyed' or else it'd be just a classic. :)

Also, I thank you for liking the effect so much! Much appreciated! ^_^

@Mark: fine, even tho it's not to me, i'll except your little challenge. What you said simply means my guess was wrong, i still have millions more.

quick comment on the erdnase- don't visibly push out the card. Work to make it look like you're literally waving your hand over the card

The performance is better... but you still gotta work on your Erdnase change... i was told that for this change to look good, you must not even show that the card was pushed upwards.

@Mark: is using tally ho mixed in with a bee deck called cheating? cause i can only do that( don't have many cards that looks the same).

Nice! You did a fine job! :D

As mentioned, once the Erdnase improves, it will look a lot better! Good job!

Aw man... I put [ M ][ /M ] without spaces. Oops.

Also, Albert is right... but we all know Mark's Smooth Color Change just looks so badass in his performance!

If it's a standard, bordered Bee deck I wouldn't recommend it because it will be extremely difficult if not nearby impossible to hide that. It's not cheating though. ;)

Aw, thanks! But that's also because it has a purpose of getting the card back into the middle. Though.. could've used a one card pass instead. ^_^

@Mark: not for "Dyed" tho... it makes it much easier to identify when to stop at the force card( that's how i think you did it, by feel), and i could just use a one card pass to the bottom for the visual change, the only time when the cards are exposed is when i spread the card at the end. Besides... if it's someone who practiced the DL enough to match your level, it's easy to hide the card in the spread...

I did it by feel indeed (you can actually see that if you look close). But with my Bee decks the card patter is visible from the edges too (unless you plan on just showing the faces of the cards).

By the way, don't take the challenge too serious and don't take note of it if you're not planning on performing this effect live. It's just that I prefer you (and Trav) ending up all clean. This effect was specifically created to have the deck handed out in the end so the spectator could check out every single card. :)

So if I were to use only 1 extra card in the deck, it would indeed be alot tougher to perform. I'm pretty sure I could work out everything(except for Smooth), but the only thing I'm not sure about, if there is only 1 red card in the deck, how you got the red card selected from the middle. I'm not sure how you were able to do that part, but I'm sure it was simple and I'm just being dumb! I did notice, however, that when you choose the card, you don't show the top of the deck again until after you have squared the card into the deck. Hmmm, maybe I'll attempt that challenge, but I know for a fact the performance would be quite sloppy, since I am a beginner and all, my handling is a little rough, and I don't have all the moves and techniques down perfectly.

Well, there are easier techniques to accomplish the same. ;)

just one card you say... that actually doesn't sound too hard, ima try that, actually, i don't think i could perform this live, the angles for this requires me to have the specs be standing up... too inconvenient if i were to sit down... but i have nothing better to do so i'll work on the effect.

P.S: my bee deck's edges is blurred out after so much use so it doesn't really matter.

I have a version that only uses one card and it would be better if i knew a peak thing (if you know what i mean)
